I’m a competitive roller derby player. I skate. I block. I hit my closest friends and I try really hard not to fall down in the process.
The sport is tough (full contact on 8-wheels). But it’s also super rewarding. Because Gotham Roller Derby isn’t just one of the best leagues worldwide, it’s also a skater-run and operated non-profit.
The league’s mission is to foster inclusivity and community in New York City. To help, I hold positions on the Creative, Sponsorship and Media committees doing everything from filming events to making content for our national sponsors. It’s a lot of work and a lot of fun.
